Far Manager / BIM Manager
CAD Enhancement, Inc. is extending the use of the FAR Manager and BIM Manager tool set for Revit 2010 to Architects for FREE. The FAR Manager is a content manager tool that allows Architects to manage their Revit Family content, including search functions, etc.
Some of the capabilities of the FAR Manager that an Architect can utilize include:
- Load/import by Revit Family or just Type
- Manage the Types - add, delete and change
- Change any values to your Parameters
- Add Parameters and Types to the Family
- Search for Families within your network by File Name, Category, Sub-category, Type, Parameter and their value.
Some of the capabilities of the BIM Manager tool include:
- Batch add/edit Parameters
- Batch delete Parameters
- Catalog Families for quick search capabilities
- Control/manage the folders of the Families that the users can retrieve when using the FAR Manager
As more Manufacturers implement the FAR Process you will have access to download Families from http://www.revitcatalog.com/ that have been reviewed and approved by the Manufacturers as well as Architects in addition to having the ability to create Revit Families with the detail you desire for your BIM projects.
